Xavi has decided to stay at Barca for the 2024/25 season. It's the best news a true Blaugrana can hear today as it puts all the rumours about his possible replacements to bed.
The objective for next season is clear — Barca have to win trophies, something they failed to do this season.
The thing is, Barca remains restricted financially as they are yet to meet La Liga's 1:1 rule. That opens up the possibility of Barca not signing any new players this summer. Even if that's the case, Xavi still boasts a solid team to fight for titles next year.
In defence, Alejandro Balde will return from injury to reclaim his left-back position. Barca have Hector Fort and Joao Cancelo as deputies in that position.
In central defence, there's Pau Cubarsi and Ronald Araujo, who are likely to start regularly. Barca have Inigo Martinez and Christensen as backup. Kounde will likely continue on the right as he's less error-prone than Cancelo.
