TWO starters Barca are pushing to sign this summer identified

Barcelona wants to sign both Dani Olmo and Nico Williams this summer, per the fairly reliable Fernando Polo.

Barca have made a move to sign Olmo with Deco meeting his father and agent back in April. The Blaugrana can land the Spanish forward for his €60m release clause in a structured deal, similar to the operation that brought Ferran Torres from Manchester City.

However, the case of Williams is more complicated as Athletic Bilbao will not accept a structured deal for their star winger. The Basque club insist his €50m release clause be paid in full.

Barca sees Olmo (26) and Williams (21) as two players who can walk right into their starting XI. Both players already have a brilliant relationship playing for the Spanish national team and are friends with many members of the current Barca squad.

To sign the aforementioned players, Barca anticipates some departures in the summer. Many senior high-earning players at the club are uncertain about their future and anyone could be sold to bring in fresh blood.
