Anthony Martial is poised to become a free agent in the summer after his Man United contract expires at the end of June.
As per French outlet Jeunes Footeux, the Frenchman has started to look for new opportunities and urged his agents to offer him up to different clubs.
Martial also offered to join Olympique Lyonnais as a free agent in July, but that was swiftly rejected by the Ligue 1 side.
This is even though the forward initially got his breakthrough in the division with AS Monaco, for whom he scored 15 goals in 70 appearances before moving to Man United.
A major reason for clubs rejecting Martial is probably because of his questionable fitness situation and injury-prone nature, which has restricted him to only making 19 appearances for the Red Devils this season – in which he’s only scored one goal.
Another possible reason could be his wage demands. The Frenchman is currently on a rumoured £250,000-a-week salary at Old Trafford. Even if he takes a 50% pay-cut, it still boils down to an amount not many will want to pay for him.
