Man United 'intensify' contacts with Juventus defender Bremer, discover two ways to seal summer transfer (reliability: 4 stars)

Man United have identified Juventus centre-back Bremer as one of the options to improve their defence ahead of the summer transfer window.

As per Calciomercato, the Red Devils have already ‘intensified contacts’ with the Brazilian defender to jump ahead of other interested parties for a possible transfer.

But with Bremer having signed a new long-term deal with the Italian club earlier this season, it won’t be easy to sign him.

It has already been hinted that Juventus can consider an offer of around €70m to let the 27-year-old leave in the summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, another way that the Red Devils can get a deal done is by offering some cash and Mason Greenwood in a swap deal for Bremer.

That is because the Italian side are admirers of the English forward and have shown an interest in signing him in the summer.

Man United are keeping their options open in the centre-back hunt and are also admirers of Everton man Jarrad Branthwaite, even though a deal for him can be even trickier – especially if the Toffees avoid relegation.

Bremer has been a standout defender in the Serie A this season, helping the Bianconeri keep 13 clean sheets in 28 league games so far.
