Geordie Ibra? Ex-Red Andy Carroll scores 40-yard stunner in France second tier

Former Liverpool striker Andy Carroll plies his trade in Ligue 2 in France now.

The Englishman features for Amiens and on Saturday, he scored a magnificent goal against Annecy in a 1-1 draw.

The striker lobbed the keeper from 40 years out. There's no (legal) video of the goal but you here are the screenshots posted by Ligue 1's official account.

Andy was obviously a big waste of money by Liverpool as the club's record signing at that time (£35m) scored just 11 goals in 58 games for the Reds. But it's nice to see him score an Ibrahimovic-style goal in France.
