Luca Toni on 'football dictator' Louis van Gaal: He took his pants down but we couldn't see the balls because of his big belly

Luca Toni has shared a hilarious insight into Louis van Gaal's coaching set-up during their explosive time together at Bayern Munich.

When Van Gaal joined as manager in 2009, Toni had already established himself as the bonafide goalscorer of the squad.

Tensions flared between them as Van Gaal made it clear that he would drop any player he didn't consider good enough.

They have buried the hatchet since and ended up as friends but Toni, who scored 58 goals in 89 games for Bayern, has recalled one such incident.

In a recent interview, Toni said: "He has a bad temper and he approaches players the wrong way.

"He's a dictator, except with his inner circle of Dutchmen.

"One day he told the team 'you don't have the balls that I have,' and he took down his pants.

"But he had a big belly, so we couldn't see the balls."

Van Gaal has also managed teams like Manchester United, Ajax and Barcelona. He currently works as an advisor for the Dutch giants.
