Former Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto opened up about his experience working with Jose Mourinho, stating that it was "not possible" to work alongside him. However, Pinto also praised Mourinho as "one of the most important managers in the history of football."
Speaking to Football Italia, he shared insights into his time at the Italian club: "Don't get me wrong, when you work with a man with such a huge profile, it's demanding. And he is demanding because he has achieved so much and has high standards."
"Don't forget that I'm Portuguese and I started to work with him when I was 36. For a young sporting director to work normally with Mourinho, it's not possible."
"I learned a lot from him. He's one of the most important managers in the history of football," he added.
Mourinho is currently not coaching any team after being fired by Roma in January due to poor performance in both the league and European competitions.
The 61-year-old has been keeping busy by attending events outside of football. He was seen at Anthony Joshua's recent heavyweight fight against Francis Ngannou and also attended the Formula One Saudi Arabia Grand Prix.
