Florentino Perez is the man whose words carry the biggest weight at Real Madrid. And in the aftermath of Real's big win in the Super Cup final, the big boss came out to shower praises on Vinicius Jr.
"Vinicius always shines. Scoring three goals isn't normal," the Real Madrid president said.
"[Against Barca] he played a great game. Sometimes he may be denied the goal, but the effort he makes to give assists and score goals is phenomenal.
"That's why he's one of the best players in the world. He's very young, he's happy and he's very good.
"Every year Vini keeps getting better," Florentino added.
The Brazilian was indeed unplayable against Barcelona on Sunday. By halftime Vini had completed his hat-trick with Barca looking defeated already.
In the second half, Vini continued tormenting the Catalans and forced the error leading to Rodrygo's goal to make the score 4-1.
On his day, Vini is easily the best winger in the world. However, the 23-year-old has a lot to learn in terms of temperance and on-pitch behaviour. He already said so himself.
