Real Madrid could bring Mario Gila back to the club, according to Cadena SER.
He is an option the club like. Gila was part of Real Madrid from 2018 to 2022, having mostly played for youth teams. Last year, he made two appearances under Carlo Ancelotti before the club sold him to Lazio for €6m, keeping 50 per cent of the rights for the player.
Despite making the Champions League debut with Lazio this season, the 23-year-old would still be eligible to play in the competition for Real Madrid.
Villarreal and Rayo Vallecano are also interested in signing the defender.
Real Madrid are looking for a centre-back amid David Alaba's season-ending injury. Their preferred option is a young player who could be available on loan with a purchase option.
