As per Fabrizio Romano via Give Me Sport, a tier-one source, Manchester United already have an agreement in place with Jason Wilcox to take over as the technical director in a new era under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
The Red Devils, however, have to reach an agreement with Southampton. However, Romano understands Wilcox is completely sold on the INEOS project and their plans for Man United.
Wilcox, 53, handles young talent well as evident from his work at the Manchester City Academy.
The fact that Wilcox has an agreement with Man United effectively means Liverpool, who were also keen to appoint him, have now given up their pursuit.
Bagging Wilcox - in addition to Dan Ashworth potentially - INEOS are making a massive statement of intent with their plans for Man United.
