'He could be back there one day': Chris Sutton backs coach who worked with Solskjaer to replace Ten Hag

Speaking on It's All Kicking Off podcast, Chris Sutton said: "Kieran McKenna is one of my managers of the year. I admire what he's done at Ipswich Town.

"Promoted last season from League One, they've been flying. It’s fair to say nobody saw that coming when he left Manchester United.

"Working under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, nobody thought he would do what he did. He could be back there one day, he could be back there."

Pressure continues to mount on Erik ten Hag as the Dutchman struggles to get a consistent run of results this season, reportedly losing the dressing room.

As for McKenna, while it's currently too early to link him with the Old Trafford job, his success at Ipswich in the Championship this season should not go unnoticed.
