Supercomputer predicts final Bundesliga standings as Bayern slip up

The Bundesliga may finally have a new winner after 11 years of Bayern Munich hegemony: Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen are 8 points above Thomas Tuchel's men, who lost the latest game. Bayer won theirs.

According to Opta's predictor, Bayer are now the overwhelming favourite to lift the league title with 12 games to go:

  • 1st place — 88.7% Bayer, 11.2% Bayern
  • 2nd place — 11.1% Bayer, 84.1%

If Xabi Alonso's men can pull it off, it will also be Bayer's first-ever Bundesliga trophy. The team have spent 45 consecutive years in the league without ever winning any silverware despite coming close on multiple occasions. For this, they are often called Neverkusen. If you believe Bayer will shake their tag off — or that Bayern will still win the league — you can place a bet on this.
