Barcelona could sell Vitor Roque barely five months after his heralded move from Brazil in January — that's exactly what his agent wants to happen if his clients continue to sit on the bench at Barca.
If Barca decides to cut their losses and offload the young Brazilian permanently, they could get a sizeable transfer fee for the player considering his brilliance in South America before moving to Barca. Plus the flashes he showed while scoring his two goals for the Catalans.
Roque is still rated highly in the market. The Transfermakt website has Roque's value at €40m and he's rated even higher by football observatory body CIES. They set his value at €60m.
However, the eye test tells a slightly different story. Roque has not been playing at Barca and his first touch has been questionable. European clubs can't know for sure what to expect from a 19-year-old.
However, just like Endrick who joined Real Madrid last year, Roque is a Brazilian who could really blossom with trust and support. All that is why Barca can easily get €30m if they decide to sell Roque now.
Expecting Barca to get up to €40m for an under-radar and unproven teenager like Roque would be a pipe dream. Most teams would prefer a proven scorer in Europe with pedigree if they're to splash the cash.
