According to RAC1 and several sources in Spain, Barca president Joan Laporta and other high-ranking members of the club's board asked Xavi to sack his brother Oscar Hernandez and replace him with former Pep Guardiola assistant Domenec Torrent.
But speaking in his press conference, Xavi confirmed he wouldn't take such action.
"There will be no change in my coaching staff," Xavi responded to the question.
Xavi's brother has earned the nickname 'Oscar Klopp' for his mannerisms and close resemblance to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
Oscar usually takes charge of the team when Xavi is suspended and so far Barca have a 100 per cent record when he's the man yelling instructions from the sidelines — it's been seven wins in seven with 'Oscar Klopp' in charge.
Barcelona are expected to hire a fitness coach to help the club lower the risk of injuries. Former Antonio Conte wingman Julio Tous has been strongly tipped to get the job.
