One more Barca player joins Balde and Gavi on 2023 Golden Boy nominees' list

Lamine Yamal has made the 100-man list of the 2023 Golden Boy nominees!

The 16-year-old joined Alejandro Balde and Gavi who are also among the candidates to claim the prize.

Jude Bellingham, Jamal Musiala and Xavi Simons are the other favourites to win the prize.

Gavi could make history by winning the accolade for the second-straight year. If he or Balde wins it, this will also mean that Barca players will do it three times in a row after Pedri in 2021 and Gavi in 2022.

One more Barca player to win it was Leo Messi in 2005.

Golden Boy is the top prize for players under the age of 21. The award was established in 2003.
