Right back from La Liga informs his club of desire to play for Barca -- it's not Fresneda

Juan Foyth has informed Villarreal that he wants to leave the club for Barcelona, according to Gerard Romero.

The Argentine has been on Barca’s radar for a while now. He's one of the candidates for the new right-back role, though not the main one, with talks over Ivan Fresneda's move already opened.

It's Foyth's price tag that made him somewhat less attractive target for Blaugrana. To land the World Cup winner at Camp Nou, the club would have to pay a hefty sum of €55m.

It will be interesting to see whether Foyth overt desire to join the Catalans alters Barca's stance.
