Barcelona will most likely face Lazio in the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 8, according to Diario AS' Javier Miguel.
The negotiations between the two clubs are very advanced.
Lazio finished 2nd in Serie A last season, only behind Napoli. They will play Champions League football next term. Their star players are Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile.
Former Barca forward Pedro currently plays for Lazio. If he extends his current deal with the Serie A side, we will see him in action against his former club.
The game will be played at the Montjuic Olympic Stadium in Barcelona as Camp Nou is being reconstructed. This will be the first time when the Joan Gamper Trophy is held outside Barca's home stadium.
The Joan Gamper Trophy was established in 1966. This is an annual exhibition match with the trophy named in honour of FC Barcelona's founder, Joan Gamper. Barca have won the cup 45 times out of 57.
The last time Blaugrana lost the Joan Gamper clash was in 2012 when they faced Sampdoria. Last year, the Catalans thrashed Mexican side UNAM 6-0 in the final.
