'I'm more confident with him. But he can't be with me all my career': Badiashile reflects on Thiago Silva departure

Thiago Silva is leaving Chelsea this summer, putting an end to an illustrious four-year career at the Bridge. He will be missed by fans and teammates alike.

“Thiago is a great player and we all know how great he is,” Benoit Badiashile told the Evening Standard. “It will be a great miss for us but we have to continue to work. That’s life, we have to continue.

“You can see that when I play with him, I am more confident, but I have to try to be the same player without him because he can’t be with me throughout my career. He has helped me a lot, but I will try to do my best without him.”

The Frenchman had a year and a half to learn from Thiago Silva as the duo started many games together.
