The Argentine has been playing through pain for several weeks now, receiving injections instead of going under the knife.

The idea is to recover in time for Copa America, which will run between June 20 and July 14.

The 23-year-old has featured 28 times in the Premier League for Chelsea, scoring three goals and assisting further two.
