Thiago Silva 'reaches agreement' over next destination

According to Brazilian media outlet Globo Esporte, Thiago Silva has reached an agreement over a two-year deal with his former side Fluminense.

The 39-year-old is set to return to his domestic league for the first time since 2009 when he left Fluminense for AC Milan.

Now, he is set to rejoin the Brazilian Serie A club as a free agent after he has confirmed he will leave Chelsea this summer.

Even though his departure is a done deal, his move to Fluminense will not be announced until Chelsea's last game of the season on May 19 out of respect for the club.
