Petrovic claims Chelsea can still qualify for Champions League

Chelsea first-choice goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic is keeping hope alive that the Blues could secure Champions League qualification this season.

“We will continue because we’ve still got chances in the Premier League to reach Europa League and Champions League,” Petrovic said after the defeat to Man City.

Petrovic is dreaming big as he's allowed to. The reality is Chelsea's chances of qualifying for the Champions League are next to zero.

The Blues are currently seated 9th in the Premier League standings almost 20 points adrift of a Champions League spot.

However, Chelsea could easily finish as high as 6th, which would earn the Blues a Europa League slot.
