Arsenal set to replace club crests on shirts for next season — here's why

According to the Athletic, Arsenal plan to replace their traditional club crest with the iconic cannon on all shirts for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

The cannon has always symbolised the club's incredibly rich history since its founding back in 1886 and explains the origin of the Gunners' nickname.

While the iconic cannon has appeared on select kits in previous campaigns, next season will mark the first time it replaces the club crest entirely.

The change has been trialed this year with the 2023/24 away kit featuring the cannon instead of the badge, drawing no negative reactions from the fans.
