When will Arsenal face Man City in Community Shield clash? Revealed

 game to kick off the 2023/24 English football season.

This is due to the Gunners facing second in the Premier League last season and the Cityzens having won both the league and the FA Cup.

As per the Evening Standard, the match is currently penciled in to take place in the weekend of August 5/6.

It’ll be held at Wembley Stadium, as Mikel Arteta’s side aim to kick off their campaign with silverware.

After the Community Shield clash, the 23/24 Premier League will kick off in the following weekend.

Oleksandr Zinchenko can miss Community Shield vs Man City because of the charity match

 in the Community Shield without their star player, 

. Due to his involvement in a charity match scheduled for the same weekend, Zinchenko could potentially miss the curtain-raiser against his former club.

Traditionally, the Community Shield brings together the 

 in a pre-season friendly. However, when one team triumphs in both competitions, as Man City did this year, the runner-up in the Premier League takes their place in the Community Shield.

As a result, Arsenal will be competing against City at Wembley. Nevertheless, there is a possibility that Zinchenko might not be available for the match. 

He has organized a charity game, called Game 4 Ukraine, alongside Ukrainian legend 

, set to take place at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, August 5, a day before the Community Shield.

The purpose of the charity match is to raise funds for the reconstruction of Ukraine's infrastructure and facilities after the country was invaded by Russia last year, leading to an ongoing war. 

Zinchenko now faces a challenging decision: whether to withdraw from the charity match, participate in a limited capacity, or take the risk of playing in both games in full, just days before the commencement of the new Premier League season.
