Memorable pics, cold shower in Arsenal shirt & more: Gilberto Silva's Twitter shows how much Brazilian still loves club

Do you remember Gilberto Silva? He and Patrick Vieira formed a midfield pivot in Arsene Wenger's Invincibles squad. A no-nonsense midfield enforcer, the Brazilian quietly did his job on the pitch and got his fair share of trophies.

We took a look at Silva's Twitter page and found he is still very fond of Arsenal and everything related to the Gunners, be it the club's former glory or its recent success.

Gilberto's name is forever in Arsenal's history books simply because he scored the club's first competitive game at the Emirates Stadium. He was on target on 19 August 2006, when the Gunners drew 1-1 with Aston Villa.

And Silva re-tweeted the video of that goal posted by Arsenal's official account.

In September, Gilberto participated in the cold shower challenge. This is an initiative to raise awareness about suicide and to spread the message about mental health.

And Silva took his cold shower in an Arsenal shirt.

On the first day of August this year, Arsenal won the FA Cup, beating Chelsea in the final.

And Gilberto Silva's joy lasted several days as he posted this two days after the match:

Before the latest north London derby, Gilberto recalled his experience of playing against Spurs:

However, it's not only the thrill of a north London derby or winning a title Silva misses. Training pictures of old times make him nostalgic, too.

Nothing beats the feeling of being a part of something great.

An ultimate legend.
