Ancelotti: 'Madrid's captain is Florentino Perez. The rest of us are sailors'

Real Madrid defeated Bayern 2-1 to advance to the Champions League final.

“There is a captain here and his name is Florentino Pérez," Carlo Ancelotti said after the game. "The rest of us are sailors.

“He has been able to create this great generation of footballers and hopefully we can achieve another Champions League [title].

“The fans made the difference as always. It seems customary in this magnificent stadium, we are delighted.

“It is a family. Managed very well by the president. It is a football club with a history and tradition that weighs heavily. Those who work here are lucky to wear this shirt.”

The Wembley date with Dortmund on June 1 will be the seventh Champions League final during Flo Perez's presidency.
