Ancelotti finally explains why Castilla outcast De Leon travels with Real Madrid for big games

Just like ahead of the Manchester City game, 20-year-old Jeremy de Leon travels with Real Madrid despite not making the matchday squad.

Carlo Ancelotti has finally opened up on the issue.

"It's not a superstition. When we train, I want us to be with 20 men. Without him, there are 19 of us.

"I have spoken to Raul [Real Madrid Castilla coach]. He [De Leon] trains very well and gives us a lot."

The Puerto-Rican winger receives little game time at Castilla, so he's often an option for Carlo Ancelotti in training. Let's agree the young player is quite lucky to experience all this!

Real Madrid signed De Leon from third-divison side Castellon for €200k in January.
