Transfer status of all 8 Real Madrid midfielders ahead of summer window

Real Madrid have the best midfield in the world. Critics say Los Blancos are over-stocked in that department making it hard to manage. There's some truth to that assertion — playing regularly as a Real Madrid midfielder is a privilege.

Perhaps that's why there's so much transfer talk around Real Madrid midfielders and why we've decided to break down the transfer status of every midfielder at the club ahead of the summer transfer window.

Aurelien Tchouameni – NOT FOR SALE

The powerful French midfielder earned a reputation for being able to slot in at centre-back when needed there. The rumours about him moving to the Premier League are smoke without fire, Real Madrid will not listen to any offers for such an important player.

Contract ends 2028

Jude Bellingham – NOT FOR SALE

Perhaps Jude could win the Ballon d'Or this year. The Englishman has been that good. He's currently Real Madrid's top scorer and a player who has shown he can step up on the big occasions. No club would even attempt to sign Bellingham as they know what Real Madrid's answer will be.

Contract ends 2029

Eduardo Camavinga – NOT FOR SALE

Camavinga is another supremely versatile midfielder at Real Madri – besides playing at left-back, it's been rumoured he can also play as a goalkeeper. The Frenchman is a consistent performer who sometimes goes unnoticed. Real Madrid got him for a €31m bargain and are not considering selling him, not even for twice or thrice that price.

Contract ends 2029

Fede Valverde – NOT FOR SALE

Powerful. Athletic. Versatile. Leader. One can easily run out of adjectives to describe Fede Valverde. No player has played more minutes for Real Madrid than Fede and no one works harder. It's why no right-thinking club will sell a player like Valverde. He could even become Real Madrid's captain soon.

Contract ends 2029

Arda Guler – Possible loan

Talented, exciting and hungry but Arda Guler struggles for playing time at Real Madrid. That's why some sources around Spain and Turkiye suggest he could go on loan this summer, but that remains unlikely. Perhaps we get to see more of him this season with Madrid all but guaranteed another La Liga title.

Contract ends 2029

Dani Ceballos – Possible sale

Just like Guler, the Spanish midfielder is said to be frustrated with his lack of minutes at Real Madrid. Marca names Atletico Madrid as the club pushing hardest to sign him this summer. Real Madrid could sell him or keep him as a squad player. He's never getting regular game time at Real.

Contract ends 2027

Toni Kroos – Could leave for FREE!

A consistent performer and a true leader, Kroos is the ideal midfielder every club needs. Even at 34, it's hard to fault anything about Kroos. Sources say Real Madrid will extend Kroos' contract if he decides to stay. We can't say for sure what will happen just yet.

Contract ends this summer

Luka Modric – Could leave for FREE!

What a legend Modric is. But the curtain is gradually falling on a player who's less than two years away from celebrating his 40th birthday. Surprisingly though, Modric isn't letting up. Marca reports he wants to continue at Real Madrid next season even if he doesn't play as many minutes as he did this season. Real Madrid must make a decision.
