Kylian Mbappe is close to smashing Cristiano Ronaldo's away goal record in the Champions League.
Ronaldo scored 23 away goals in the Champions League during his career in Europe and Mbappe already has 15. It means the Frenchman could overtake his idol in the coming years with nine more goals. That will probably happen when he moves to Real Madrid.
Mbappe scored twice away at Barca in the Champions League quarter-final to help PSG beat the Blaugrana 4-1 and qualify for the semi-final this year. By doing so, he overtook Karim Benzema who bagged 14 away goals in the Champions League before leaving Europe.
However, when it comes to total goals scored in the Champions League Mbappe is nowhere near Cristiano. Ronaldo remains the Champions League top scorer with 140 goals. Mbappe has 48 goals so far.
The legend scored 105 goals in 101 Champions League games for Real Madrid alone.
