Former Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello doesn't rank Cristiano Ronaldo among the best footballers ever to play the game, including Lionel Messi.
"He is a great player, he won titles, Ballon d'Ors... but as I said before, he has not been as great as Messi. Ronaldo is a great scorer and knows how to do everything, but he is not a genius," Capello said.
"Speaking of geniuses, I have forgotten one who could also enter: Ronaldo, the fat one [He's up there with Messi, Pelé and Maradona]," Capello added.
Ronaldo Fenomeno played at Real Madrid but didn't leave the same legacy as Cristiano, largely due to injuries.
Cristiano scored 450 goals at Real Madrid and won the Ballon d'Or five times but he falls short in the eye of many protagonists as he never won the World Cup. Ronaldo Nazario won it twice, once as the top scorer.
