8-metre cell full of murderers, first football match: Robinho's living conditions in prison revealed

Former Real Madrid forward Robinho has served the first month of his nine-year prison sentence, reports CNN Brasil's Maria Clara Lacerda.

Within the first 10 days, the Brazilian was going through a period of isolation and adaptation – like any other prisoner. After that, he was taken to a tiny 8-metre squared cell with murderers and rapists. He has been allowed to participate in physical activities with other prisoners, even taking part in his first football match in prison!

Here's what his cell looks like, as per The Sun

During the nine-year prison sentence, the 40-year-old will have meals in his cell and only limited visits.

Robinho was arrested by the Federal Police in March. The former Brazil international was convicted of raping a woman in a Milan night club in 2013.

The Brazilian played for Real Madrid from 2005 to 2008, recording 62 goal contributions in 137 games for the Whites.
