Real Madrid have decided to keep Joselu as part of the squad next season, Diario AS say.
Joselu has impressed decision-makers at the club enough to decide to plan a future with him next term. The Spaniard has bagged 13 goals in 14 starts this season. He also has three assists.
Despite turning 34 last month, Joselu is considered a low-cost option off the bench at Real Madrid and is expected to continue the role next season.
The veteran goal machine was bred in Real Madrid's Castilla and often expresses his deep love for the club. He hasn't made an issue of being benched for many matches by Ancelotti.
Next season, Real Madrid will welcome Kylian Mbappe and Endrick to their attack which will increase the competition for places. Still, the club are unwilling to let go of an experienced and committed player who will cost less than €2m in the summer.
