France national team coach Didier Deschamps agrees he cannot force Real Madrid or any other club to release their players, like Kylian Mbappe, for the Olympic Games this summer.
"I knew some time ago that they [Real Madrid] had sent that letter [preventing players like Mbappe from going to the Olympics]. It's a decision for the club, and if they say no, it's no," Deschamps said.
Other players like Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchoumani are also on the line to play the Olympics in the summer but Real Madrid will not let that happen.
Real Madrid are determined to protect the health of their players by preventing them from featuring at two major tournaments during the summer.
It means that no Real Madrid player, Mbappe inclusive, who plays at the Euros will play at the Olympics in Paris.
