Carvajal – 8, Kepa – 2: Rating Real Madrid players in Atletico win

Carvajal – 8

Dani Carvajal was brilliant for Real Madrid today fighting hard against Lino on that right flank. He topped off his brilliant performance with the goal that forced the game into extra time to give Madrid the chance to win it.

Rudiger – 8

Real Madrid conceded three but Rudiger played an excellent game in Los Blancos's defence with his no-nonsense style of defending. Stats show he made seven clearances and wasn't dribbled past in the game. He also scored the equlazier for Madrid to bring the score to 1-1.

Valverde – 7.5

Fede Valverde literally worked his socks off today. The Uruguayan was everywhere, making tackles, winning balls and helping Madrid with turnovers. He seemed to be injured when subbed off in extra-time but the player had given everything.

Bellingham – 7

Again Bellingham did not score or assist but we can't take away his outstanding workrate during the game. The Englishman was on for the entire 120 minutes and he just never stopped running. Stats show he made one key pass, 6 tackles and one interception. Atleti were also targeting him and he suffered 4 fouls in the game.

Kepa – 2

Real Madrid eventually won but this was another poor display from Kepa. He was at fault for two of Madrid's three goals and looked shaky all through the game.

Other players: Nacho – 4, Tchouameni – 6, Modric – 7, Mendy – 6, Rodrygo and Vini – 6.5, Brahim – 7, Joselu – 7.5, Ceballos and Guler – NR
