'Son': What Luka Modric told Rodrygo after Croatia eliminated Brazil from World Cup

"It's okay. You will be back stronger. I love you. I love you son. Vamos, Animo [come on]," Luka Modric told Rodrygo after Croatia beat Brazil in the 2022 World Cup quarterfinals.

This is truly heartbreaking stuff, but Luka did his absolute best to comfort the Real Madrid teammate.

Brazil were well on course to advance to the World Cup semis after Neymar found the net in the extra time; however, Croatia managed to equalise through their rare chance of the game.

Rodrygo was among the two Brazil players who missed their penalty kick in the shootout. Interestingly, it was Luka Modric who helped Dominik Livakovic parry Rodrygo's shot by showing the direction of the latter's attempt.
