Florentino Perez has already 'contacted 50-60 clubs' amid the creation of the new European Super League format, reports Voz Populi's Joaquin Hernandez Rader.
The idea is that there would be three divisions that would basically replace the existing Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
The European Court of Justice is expected to deliver its verdict on the UEFA v European Super League case next week. The ruling could force the clubs to choose where they would like to participate starting from next season or 2025/26 – in the UEFA's competitions or in the Super League.
Both Real Madrid and Barcelona keep the Super League idea alive. Barca, in particular, lent some huge money to a company promoting the potential future project.
The first effort to launch the European Super League failed as the founding clubs were forced to come up with some new format.
The Super League is expected to be way more beneficial financially than the existing UEFA tournaments. However, there's still a way to go before it can officially be approved.
