On Wednesday, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo will lineup for Brazil against Fede Valverde's Uruguay in a crunch CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier. Ahead of the big game, Rodrygo revealed Valverde's strong warning to his Brazilian compatriots.
"He told Vini and me: 'You don't even need to go, stay in Madrid,'" Rodrygo told reporters.
Valverde was installed as Uruguay's captain after the World Cup in Qatar. The midfielder has clearly matured since the disappointment with his country in that tournament. Clearly, Fede backs his team to beat Brazil on the day.
"We must be careful with him. I am a great admirer of his football, I consider him to be one of the best players in the world. It will be a difficult match, and we must be attentive to Valverde," Rodrygo added.
All three players will bury the hatchet after the game and return to Madrid. The next task will be to help Los Blancos in a clash against Sevilla this weekend.
