Getafe boss reveals it was Real Madrid player who advised Mason Greenwood to join La Liga

Mason Greenwood has recently shocked the world with his last-minute move to Getafe.

Their head coach, Jose Bordalas, reveals that it was Jude Bellingham who recommended his compatriot to join La Liga.

"Greenwood is Bellingham's friend, and the latter advised him to come to the Spanish league.

"He [Greenwood] is a fantastic player. You need to be patient, calm. He has integrated sensationally well. Hopefully, he will be able to help us."

Mason Greenwood has recently been cleared of rape charges as he's looking to resume his career. He has joined Getafe from Manchester United on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old hasn't played football since January 2022.
