In the aftermath of the game between Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao on Monday, Jude Bellingham sent a message to Real Madrid fans in Spanish.
"Hello Madridistas, today I played my first match, won my first game and scored my first goal. Hala Madrid!" Bellingham said in Spanish.
It was obvious that Bellingham's Spanish still needs some work but the fact he tried has greatly impressed fans and the Spanish media.
La Liga TV host Semra Hunter praised Bellingham and suggested he was born to play for Real Madrid.
"Bellingham has already won the heart of Real Madrid fans and he's becoming a darling of Spanish football in general, they say he was born to play for Real Madrid and they never say this except for the very best talents," Hunter said.
Recall that Gareth Bale was often criticized for never speaking Spanish to the media during his rare interviews or post-match pressers during his time at Real Madrid.
For Bellingham, it's the other way round. The Englishman will be hard to criticize if he carries on in this fashion.
