'We're not used to it': Ancelotti gives verdict on Real Madrid's pre-season, names main aspect to improve

Speaking to the media following the Juventus clash on Thursday, Carlo Ancelotti has given his verdict on Real Madrid's pre-season.

"I would give it a six (out of ten). Offensively, I'm not worried. We've generated a lot, in general. I think we've been in control of the game in the four friendlies. I'm more worried about the defensive side.

"We are not used to this defensive fragility. The defensive aspect needs to be improved, we conceded a lot of goals. There has been a lack of balance and we need to fix that.

"It's an easy problem to solve. Lowering the defensive block a bit could be a solution".

Indeed, the defensive woes've been quite obvious over the past few weeks as Los Blancos averaged two goals conceded over the last four games.

The Whites desperately need a new, reliable right-back to balance the defence. The 31-year-old Carvajal and 32-year-old Vazquez playing out of position are just not it anymore.
