Real Madrid to use Varane money to make last-minute bid for Mbappe (reliability: 4 stars)

Real Madrid are saving up money from transfers to make a move for Kylian Mbappe in the last days of August, L'Equipe report. The money from Raphael Varane's expected transfer to Manchester United will also be used for this purpose, it's said.

As per previous reports, Mbappe has told Paris Saint-Germain that he doesn't want to extend his contract at the club. His current deal expires already next summer.

This would mean that the Parisians would be under pressure to sell Kylian at the end of the summer if they don't want to lose him for free in 2022.

Last term, Mbappe played 47 games for PSG and recorded 42 goals and 11 assists.
