Serie A's tier 2 source Pietro Balzano has suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Juventus at the end of the season.
"For now we can classify it as a rumour but I'm getting that info from different sources and that makes my ears perked up: Cristiano Ronaldo could part ways with Juventus at the end of the season.
"This is what I've been told. I repeat, for now, these are only rumours but they keep flooding in. We'll see," Balzano wrote via his Twitter account.
A truly big debate raged in the comments and Balzano suggested that Cristiano could go for a move to one of his former clubs.
"What if it's a return to... " he wrote in reply to another user.
It may not necessarily be Real Madrid. The Portuguese started his professional career at Sporting Lisbon, so he could obviously finish his career in Portugal. Manchester United switch also seems to be an option.
Earlier on, it was predicted by the Italian media that Juventus would have to part ways with Cristiano in order to stabilise their financial situation after the coronavirus pandemic. However, more reliable sources stated that Real Madrid were not interested in bringing their legend back.
Ronaldo moved to Madrid in a record-breaking €94m move almost 11 years ago. He went on to become the Whites' all-time best goalscorer with 450 goals and won all the major trophies before leaving the club for Juventus in 2018.
