The French Ligue 1 has been the fourth highest-spending league this summer in the world with all its 20 clubs splashing €301.9m combined on incoming transfers so far, according to Transfermarkt.
The Spanish La Liga, meanwhile, completes the top five with €152.3m combined spendings.
No wonder, it's the Premier League, Serie A and Bundesliga who are leading the pack at €1.02bn, €446.6m and €340.3m respectively.
It should be mentioned that the German top flight is third on the list despite only consisting of 18 clubs instead of 20.
What's curious is that the Italian Serie B has made the list in 10th at €50m ahead of the Dutch Eredivisie.
As a reminder, Paris Saint-Germain have signed Achraf Hakimi, Georginio Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Lionel Messi this summer, only spending €60m on the Moroccan full-back's move from Inter Milan.
