Amad Diallo was Man United’s hero of the night by scoring a crucial goal in the 3-2 win over Newcastle United on Wednesday (May 15).
After the game, he spoke of his love of playing with Kobbie Mainoo and explained: “In the training, we try to play together, to make that combination in the training, when we play together like today we try and to make the same things like in the training.
“We are young players, we are motivated to shine here and I hope to continue like this. It’s important to have Kobbie Mainoo in the team.
“He’s a good player and I have a good relationship with him outside of the pitch, with him and Garnacho. We are happy to play together.”
Amad scored his first-ever Premier League goal for the Red Devils in the win over Newcastle and also assisted Mainoo’s opening goal with a smart pass. The Ivorian winger has impressed in his last two starts and is now in line to start in the FA Cup final against Man City.
