Revealed: how much money Man United aim to recuperate with Sancho and Greenwood sales

Man United are likely to sell both Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho in the summer after realizing they have no futures at the club.

However, as per CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs, the club are looking to generate major funds from the sales of the two English wingers in the summer.

Man United’s hierarchy are hopeful that they can get a combined fee of £100m or more by permanently offloading both Sancho and Greenwood

He told GiveMeSport: "And if we understand that Manchester United in the early part of the window, much like last summer, will have the license to spend up to about £100m and are looking to bring in around two players, if they can get either £100m or in excess of £80m at the lower end for Sancho, plus Greenwood, then it will either put them in a healthy position to kick off the window, or allow them to move early in the market."

The Red Devils are clearly trying to improve their own transfer war chest for the summer by acquiring major funds from player sales, as the money gained from selling players is likely to be reinvested in signing their replacements.

With that being said, with Man United having a poor history of selling players – Jason Wilcox & co have to work really hard to acquire big fees for selling these two and add major amount to their transfer budget.
