Rasmus Hojlund names three players who inspired his playing style - two are ex-Man United stars

Rasmus Hojlund has been having a pretty good debut season at Man United, and took his goal tally to 14 after scoring against Sheffield United.

In a recent Q&A session with Sky Sports, the Danish forward was questioned on which players he tries to model his playing style around.

He answered: “There were a lot of players I used to look at. [Robert] Lewandowski a lot, Cristiano, of course. He’s my idol, so I watch him a lot, and Romelu Lukaku.

“I take from every part of their game. Rom is good with his back-to-ball. Lewandowski and Cristiano are great with their movement in the box.”

Lukaku and Ronaldo, of course, are ex-Man United players and Lewandowski is considered as one of the best forwards of his generation.

With that being said, Hojlund can probably benefit the most from being inspired by Ronaldo – who had an iconic career at Old Trafford – having scored 145 goals and provided 64 assists in 346 appearances for the Red Devils.
