Ten Hag on Man United's way of reaching FA Cup final: ‘Not an embarrassment. It's an achievement'

Erik ten Hag refuses to buy into the belief that Man United’s performance against Coventry City was an embarrassing one.

After the game, when asked about this aspect, he answered: “No. I can’t see that word. At the end of the day it is about the achievement. You can see the mistakes but it is not an embarrassment, it is an achievement.”

While it is an achievement for Man United to have reached the FA Cup final for the second straight season under Ten Hag, the performance against Coventry after the 60’ mark was really poor.

The Red Devils gave away the game by conceding three cheap goals and almost lost it in extra-time, when a Coventry winner was ruled out by VAR.

Man United have now barely won one of their last five matches in all competitions and need to significantly improve their performance levels to win the FA Cup final against Man City.
