Man United are likely to be quite proactive in the summer transfer window, the first major one after Sir Jim Ratcliffe became a co-owner.
The Red Devils are poised to make a number of key signings to improve the quality of their squad and that includes strengthening their backline too.
Man United are reportedly set to sign a new centre-back and a left-back. However, they have also recently been strongly linked to Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong – who has a £35m release clause in his contract.
The Red Devils have reportedly had talks with his representatives ahead of the summer window.
Well, a lot of fans believe that Man United should push on to finalize the signing of the proactive right-back (who has 13 goals and 11 assists for Leverkusen this season) after the 2023/24 campaign is over. Here are some of the reactions on Twitter.
Observe: “Jeremie Frimpong should be Manchester United first signing next season.”
PythagorasinBoots: “£35m release fee? No brainer. Arsenal and United should be all over Frimpong. Real Madrid, he be a good wing back to continue this narrow set up with and dovetailing with Valverde.”
Tone: “Buy Frimpong United please, he’s absolutely class!”
Kieran: “Frimpong for 34 million is a steal. Why are United fans obsessed with his height? Absolute baller.”
TalkUnited7: “£65 million for Olise £34 million for Frimpong £51 million for Bremer If we trigger all three release clauses this summer that's our budget spent with a fraction of the problems fixed. Would take all three right enough!”
Paddy: “£34 million for Jeremie Frimpong has to be one of the most obvious moves you could ever make.”
