It’s been clarified that Antony missed the game due to an injury he sustained in training before the match, which meant he couldn’t recover in time.
Meanwhile, sources close to the winger indicate that he should be back in action in time for the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City.
Antony is having a pretty dismal campaign at Old Trafford, having scored just two goals and provided two assists in 33 appearances.
