Man United are likely to have a major clear-out in their first-team squad as Ineos aims to fix some of the issues to have plagued the team in recent years.

As per Fabrizio Romano, the decision to let Anthony Martial leave in the summer has already been made by the club.

There is ‘no way back’ for the Frenchman at Old Trafford and he is not going to get another contract extension for his deal, which expires at the end of June.

It has also been added that Sofyan Amrabat is also very likely to permanently leave Man United after his loan spell is over. He will be returned to Fiorentina and there are no plans to activate the buy clause in the deal.

Romano also adds that Raphael Varane has not yet received a new contract extension offer and, for the time being, he looks likely to leave as a free agent in July.

Man United are likely to look for potential replacements for these players once they are offloaded, and could save over £700,000-a-week in wages by letting them go too.
