Former Man United coach Kieran McKenna bags Championship award as Ipswich Town eye Premier League promotion

Former Man United assistant coach Kieran McKenna has been rewarded for his impressive work with Ipswich Town in the Championship in the 2023/24 season.

He has been named as the Championship Manager of the Season for inspiring Ipswich to fight for Premier League promotion and being one of the best teams in the division.

The 37-year-old has done a remarkable job with Ipswich since taking over their manager in December 2021 after leaving Old Trafford.

He got them promoted to the Championship this season and has transformed them into one of the best teams in the division.

Ipswich are currently atop of the Championship table, having picked up 89 points from 43 games. If they can win their last three games of the campaign, then they will secure automatic promotion to the Premier League next season.

McKenna has also gotten them to play some thrilling attacking football, scoring the most goals (85) in the Championship and helping them punch above their weight all season long.
